How To Install Joomla Template
To successfully install a zipped downloaded template via the Joomla administration panel please do the following:
- Go to Joomla Administrator (www.your-site.com/administrator) -> Extensions -> Install/Uninstall
- In the "Extension Manager" choose the first option "Upload Package File".
- Click the "Browse..." button to select the zip file from your computer.
- Click the "Upload File & Install" button.
How to Implement Menu
Please use the following steps to utilize menu style designed with Artisteer:
- Go to Joomla Administrator (www.your-site.com/administrator) -> Extensions -> Module Manager
- Open an existing menu or create a new one and place it into the "user3" position.
NOTE: the "user3" position can contain only a single menu, or none.
How to create a multilevel menu
Here are the steps you should follow to create a multilevel menu in your Joomla Website:
- Enable multiple menu levels in Artisteer->Menu -> Subitem -> Levels -> Multilevel.
- Go to Joomla Administration (www.your-site.com/administrator) and enable multiple levels in your menu module (Extentions -> Module Manager v click to edit menu (e.g. Top Menu) -> Module Parameters -> "Always show sub-menu Items").
- Make sure that you have menu items at lower levels defined in Joomla.
Changing the logo
Please use the following steps to change the logo on your website once installing.
- Log into you favourite FTP application.
- Navigate to /templates/*template name*/images/
- Change the file name of your logo you wish to upload to *header-object* ensuring that it it of a PNG format
- Upload it into the /templates/*template name*/images/ folder. The software will warn that you are about to overwrite the file. Select yes.
- View your website and ensure that the logo has been uploaded.
Selecting Module Positions
Joomla module positions are placeholders in a template. They identify positions within the template where output from modules assigned to a particular position will be displayed.
The module positions built into all templates are as follows.
If the template you have downloaded does not show anything when you select the positions name, the template does not include that position.
